We are urgently looking for an Engineer (M365 Generalist).

Job Summary:

Engineers (M365 Generalist)
IT Experience (in years) 8+ years
Must have Skills
·       Proficiency in managing O365 tenants, including user provisioning, licensing, security settings, and compliance.

·       Understanding of licensing models, subscription plans, and license assignment.

·       Knowledge of continuous updates and feature enhancements in M365 services – Microsoft Evergreen

·       Expertise in configuring Teams, managing channels, guest access, and integration with other apps.

·       Familiarity with creating interactive presentations and reports using Sway.

·       Understanding of task management and collaboration using To Do.

·       Understanding Visio Online from infrastructure support point of view

·       Understanding Project Online from infrastructure support point of view

·       Knowledge of DLP policies to prevent data leakage.

·       Excellent knowledge of sensitivity labels, encryption, and rights management.

·       Excellent knowledge with compliance features, eDiscovery, and retention policies.

·       Capability to handle escalated issues, investigate incidents, and provide timely resolutions.

·       Proficiency in incident tracking, documentation, and communication.

·       PowerShell scripting skills for automating repetitive tasks

·       Understanding of Microsoft Graph API for custom integrations.
Nice to have skills
·       Having some familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate (Flow)

·       M365 Migration: Experience in migrating data from on-premises systems to M365.

·       User Adoption Strategies: Knowledge of promoting M365 adoption among end-users.
Key activities & role during transition
·       Create comprehensive documentation or knowledge base articles that outline common issues and their resolutions.

·       Act as a point of contact for Initial, L2 and L3 support during the transition phase to address any critical issues or questions.

·       Collaborate with the current team to develop a transition plan that ensures a seamless handover of responsibilities.

·       Establish regular meetings to address concerns, challenges, and progress during the transition period.

·       Ensure a smooth transition by supplying ongoing support.
Key tasks and responsibilities for regular operations
·                Your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services within an organization.

·                You’ll work closely with DWP Architects, other IT teams, end-users, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and efficient M365 solutions.

·                Perform Deployment and Configuration of M365 services.

·                Customize settings based on organizational requirements.

·                Monitor service health, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance.

·                Implement security best practices, enforce policies, and conduct security assessments.

·                Collaborate with compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.

·                Provide L2 and L3 support for M365 applications.

·                Assist users with technical queries, troubleshoot problems, and resolve incidents.

·                Create user guides, FAQs, and training materials.

·                Conduct training sessions to enhance user proficiency.

·                Lead Evergreen meetings.

·                Staying updated with new features and enhancements is crucial for success in this role.
