We are urgently looking for AWS SecOps Specialist
Locations: India
Job Summary:
The AWS SecOps Specialist is responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of our AWS cloud infrastructure. This role involves a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks, managing AWS accounts, and overseeing the implementation of AWS Control Tower for governance and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud security principles and hands-on experience with AWS services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Security Monitoring and Incident Response:
– Continuously monitor AWS environments for security threats and vulnerabilities.
– Lead incident response efforts to address security breaches and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
– Develop and maintain security alerting and monitoring strategies using AWS-native and third-party tools.
2. AWS Account Management:
– Manage and configure AWS accounts, ensuring adherence to best practices for security and efficiency.
– Implement and enforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies.
– Regularly review and audit AWS account usage for any unusual or unauthorized activities.
3. AWS Control Tower and Governance:
– Implement and manage AWS Control Tower for overseeing multi-account AWS environments.
– Ensure compliance with organizational policies and external regulations.
– Automate account provisioning and manage life cycles using AWS Control Tower.
4. Security Improvements and Best Practices:
– Continually assess and improve AWS security posture by adopting new AWS features and third-party solutions.
– Develop and implement security best practices and guidelines for AWS usage across the organization.
– Conduct regular training and awareness sessions for staff on AWS security best practices.
5. Collaboration and Reporting:
– Collaborate with other IT and development teams to integrate security into the DevOps pipeline.
– Provide regular reports on security status, incidents, and improvements to senior management.
– Serve as the point of contact for AWS security-related matters within the organization.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
– Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or similar.
– Proven experience in AWS environment management and security.
– Strong understanding of cloud computing security concepts, including network security, identity access management, and encryption.
– Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
