We are urgently looking for Oracle Exadata Expert – Database Machine Administration
Locations: India ( Remote/Onsite/Nearshore )
Job Description :-
Oracle Exadata – Database Machine Administration
A minimum of 7+ years experience managing exadata systems
Exadata capacity expansion (DB server/node & storage server addition)
Schedule and work with Oracle for patching Exadata (on DB servers, storage servers, switches) including QFSD patching on Exadata
Patch Communication and Patch Inventory Management
End to end monitoring of Exadata components and support/coordinating in resolving issues (ASR/Network/firewall, etc.)
Management of Oracle Exadata Hardware is with OEM (Oracle)
Virtual Machines running on Exadata will be maintained by the DBA.
All Exadata OS level tasks (e.g., patching, creating users/groups etc) on these VMs will be internally handled, instead of Compute Team
Coordinating and Planning with Oracle vendor for Exadata maintenance/hardware/software expansion
Exadata Database Consolidations, Migrations, and Upgrades
On-prem database migrations to Exadata
Complete DB support for databases on Exadata
Support and liaison with Oracle and internal teams (DC/Network/security teams) for capacity expansion
Coordinate with Oracle and internal teams for hardware issues and support post hardware replacement.
Proactive monitoring of complete Exadata landscape including gateway and jump servers.
Strong knowledge of Exadata, Real Application Clusters, Oracle database, Storage, and Linux fundamentals.
